Clinic History

Suttons Bay Animal Hospital began as a part-time satellite clinic of the Animal Medical Center of Traverse City. Seeing a need for a full-service clinic in the growing community, Dr. Charles E. Morrison bought the practice in 1997 and opened it as Suttons Bay Animal Hospital. After practicing alone for three years, steady growth allowed us to expand our staff. We were fortunate to have Dr. Kathryn E. Cochran join our staff in 2000, Dr. Rachel M. Starr in 2005, Dr. Rebekah E. Fahey in 2008, and Dr. Matthew Fain in 2011.

In 2002, we opened our new 4,400 square-foot facility located one mile south of Suttons Bay. With our new facility, we are totally committed to providing the highest quality veterinary care for your pets. We have expanded our services to include grooming and boarding.
