Hospital Staff

Beth, a veterinary assistant, has been with us since 1999. She has been involved with animals all of her life and has been in the veterinary field for nine years. She has taken courses in theraputic massage, anesthesia, and dentistry. She and her husband have four dogs, Zurs, Linus, Abby, Freddy, and one cat. In what spare time she can find, she likes to keep busy with craft projects.
Marsha, a receptionist, has been with us since 1997. She lives with her husband and cat. She enjoys reading, surfing the internet, cooking, and power-walking.

Linda, a receptionist, joined us in 2002. She has three grown children. She enjoys most things Leelanau County has to offer, including kayaking, cross country skiing, and going for walks. She has one delightful, large cat named Chauncy.
Summer, a veterinary assistant, has been with us since 2004. She has attended several veterinary lectures including some on nutrition. She has three cats.
Dawn, a veterinary assistant, joined our staff in 2006. She has an Irish setter named Belle and four cats Cheetoh, Oscar, Abby, and Tonks. In her spare time she enjoys woodworking, and hiking.

Missi, a veterinary assistant, joined us in September 2008. She started working in the veterinary field in 1995. She is currently studying to become a veterinary technician. Missi loves laughing, the diversity of her job, working with compassionate people, and educating clients on animal welfare. She and her husband enjoy spoiling their three dogs and spending time in nature.

Sharon, a veterinary assistant, joined our team in 1998. She has been working with animals since 1995, taking a couple of years off for her kids. Sharon has a bordercollie named Kilee, and a cat named Ralphie. When she is not working, she likes to do home improvement projects and woodworking. Sharon likes helping both owners and their animals get the best possible care.

Josh, a veterinary assistant, has been working with us since the summer of 2009. Josh has grown up with animals and currently has a dog, two cats, and a guinea pig. Knowing that he is able to help animals and their owners is his favorite aspect of his job. This fall Josh will be starting college with goals to become a veterinarian. When Josh is not working he likes to snowboard, hike in the woods, and go hunting or fishing.

Jessica has been with us since October 2009. As a receptionist, veterinary assistant, and a kennel assistant, Jessica can be found almost anywhere in the clinic. She loves the joy that the animals bring to their owners and the staff here. Daily diversity is one of her favorite aspects of her job. Jessica and her husband have two kids, Ethan and Ella, one dog Bunker, two cats, Fargo and Millie, and a guinea pig named Cinderella. In the spare time that she can find, she likes to hike, make jewelry, cook, and read.

Katie, a veterinary assistant, has been with us since May 2008. She is currently studying to become a veterinary technician. Katie has been working with animals since she was 11 years old and enjoys them all (dogs, cats, horses, goats, guinea pigs, rabbits). She presently has two adorable cats, Frisky and Franklin. She enjoys spending time outside, reading, crafts, baking, and spending time with her fiancée Chris. Her favorite aspect of working with animals is that every pet has his or her own personality and always seem happy to be with their human counterparts.

Kattie, a kennel assistant, started working with us the summer of 2009. Her favorite part about working with animals is the joy that they bring us. She likes the fact that they are happy to be around you no matter what. When Kattie finishes high school she has plans to become a large animal veterinarian. Kattie has a dog named Abby, a rabbit, three horses, cows, and some chickens. In her spare time, Kattie likes to read, spend time with family and friends, or go horseback riding.

Ashley, a kennel assistant, joined our team in July 2010. She has always had a love for animals. When she was 10 she started volunteering for A.C. Paw by fostering dogs in her home. Ashley likes making a difference in animals’ lives and being someone they can trust. She knows that every animal is unique and can bring happiness to someone’s life. Ashley has a lab named Carmella. In her spare time Ashley likes to spend time with family, friends, and her pets. She also enjoys spending time outdoors. When she finishes high school, she has plans to begin schooling to become a small animal veterinarian.
